Edward P. (Ted) Holtaway

Ted was the former executive vice president of corporate operations for Cymer, the world's leading supplier of excimer light sources for lithography. Prior to that, he served as Cymer's Executive Vice President of the Lithography System Solutions group since October 2002. Previously, he served as senior vice president of operations and business process management from May 2000 until October 2002. He joined Cymer in July 1998 as senior vice president of process quality.

Prior to joining Cymer, Holtaway spent 13 years with San Diego-based Brooktree Corp., a fabless semiconductor company acquired by Rockwell Semiconductor Systems in September 1996. During his tenure, Holtaway's executive posts included director of Rockwell's San Diego operations from 1997 to 1998, vice president and managing director of Brooktree's Singapore operations from 1996 to 1997, and vice president of corporate quality from 1989 to 1995.

Holtaway holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology, a master's degree in electrical engineering from the Polytechnic Institute of New York, and a master's degree in business administration from San Diego State University.
