San Francisco, August 18, 2008 – Luxtera Inc., the world leader in Silicon CMOS Photonics, today announced it will participate in the DisplayPort Technology Community at this year’s Intel Developer Forum (IDF). The DisplayPort Technology Community will provide insight on the development of this technology and its accelerating adoption rates throughout the industry.  

Participation at this event follows Luxtera’s recent news of the leadership role it is taking with DisplayPort and the Video Electronics Standards Association (VESA) to enable optical interconnect in display connectivity applications.  Recently, Luxtera showcased its long reach optical interconnect solution for digital home and digital signage applications utilizing its breakthrough Silicon Photonics technology. In addition, they successfully introduced the industry’s first 40G Optical Active Cable as well as the first CMOS Photonics product, Blazar.
